Notice on Encouraging the Use of Online Arbitration Service
To best contain the outbreak of pneumonia caused by novel coronavirus and protect the health and safety of arbitrating parties, representatives, arbitrators, and other participants of arbitration proceedings, the Shenzhen Court of International Arbitration (SCIA) has recently issued the Notice on Arbitration Services and Related Matters During the Epidemic Prevention Period and the Supplementary Notice I. In view of the latest development, the SCIA encourages arbitrating parties to use its remote arbitration service and hereby issues the following reminders:
1.Starting from today, the SCIA will suspend on-site services, including in-person case filing, document submission, evidence exchange, and hearing. This suspension will remain in effect until further notice.
2.To protect the rights and interests of the parties, the SCIA recommends the parties, representatives, and other arbitration participants to use SCIA’s online arbitration service platform. The platform supports online case filing, online submission of arbitration documents and evidence, online examination of evidence, and remote hearing. Online arbitration proceedings are governed by the Arbitration Rules of the SCIA.
3.If you need additional help with using the online platform, you may contact your case management legal counsel by telephone, WeChat, or email, or visit the “Online Service” section or SCIA’s official WeChat account for further assistance.
