SCIA & CAM Strengthen China-Italy International Arbitration Collaborations
On 29 May 2023, Dr. Liu Xiaochun, President of the Shenzhen Court of International Arbitration (hereinafter the “SCIA”) & Executive Chairman of the South China International Arbitration Center (Hong Kong) (hereinafter the “SCIAHK”), led a delegation to visit the Camera Arbitrale di Milano (hereinafter the “CAM”) in Milan, Italy, with the intention of strengthening international arbitration collaborations and fostering exchanges between SCIA and CAM. Mr. Stefano AZZALI, President of the CAM, conducted in-depth discussions on the latest developments in international arbitration with the delegation.
Dr. Liu Xiaochun introduced the international investment and trading developments between China and Italy, and the latest development of the market-oriented, world-class business environment governed by a sound legal framework in the Guangdong- Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
During the visit, Dr. LIU Xiaochun and Mr. Stefano AZZALI signed the Memorandum of Understanding between the two institution. The SCIA and CAM will engage in cooperation in the fields of deepen China-Italy Cooperation in international commercial dispute resolution, joint promotion of international arbitration, mutual provisions of hearing facilities, and joint training programs of legal talents.
Representatives of the SCIA arbitrators based in Italy, Prof. Giorgio SACERDOTI and Prof. Stefano ZUNARELLI, colleagues of the CAM, Mrs. Sara FORNI, Mr. Michele ZAMBONI and Mrs. Roberta REGAZZONI attended the meeting.
