SCIA Delegation Visits Embassy of China in the Netherlands
On 1 June 2023, Dr. Liu Xiaochun, President of the Shenzhen Court of International Arbitration (hereinafter the “SCIA”) & Executive Chairman of the South China International Arbitration Center (Hong Kong) (hereinafter the “SCIAHK”) lead the SCIA delegation to meet with H.E. Mr. Tan Jian, Ambassador of China to the Netherlands, together with the delegation led by Dr. Yuan Gujie, Chairman of Guangdong Province Law Society (hereinafter the “GPLS”) in Hague. The group and the ambassador had a discussion about establishing the rule of law in a global framework. The meeting also covered the growth of international arbitration as well as international organizations collaboration and communication.
The Hague is the political center of the Netherlands, where the central government, the States General of the Netherlands and foreign embassies are located. Additionally, the Hague is also a home to many important international institutions, such as the International Court of Justice, the Hague Conference on International Private Law, the Permanent Court of Arbitration and the European Patent Office, etc..
