During the visit, SCIA President Liu Xiaochun provided an overview of the SCIA’s commitment to reform, openness and innovation in Shenzhen Special Economic Zone. Liu emphasized SCIA’s ongoing endeavors in internationalization and its pivotal role in supporting national development strategies and enterprises.

Ministerof Justice Ms. He commended SCIA for its proactive exploration and development in promoting China’s international arbitration, and encouraged SCIA to maintain its strategic planning for internationalization, uphold high-quality development principles and pursue the goal of establishing a world-class arbitration institution.

Additionally, she suggested SCIA to further innovate, capitalize on its connectivity with Hong Kong SAR and Macao SAR, and contribute to global initiatives, underscoring the importance of aligning commercial arbitration systems with international standards, expediting the trial establishment of international commercial arbitration centers, and supporting the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the Belt and Road Initiative to facilitate high-quality economic and social growth and enhance openness.
