SCIA Invited to the 4th International Advocacy Training Council (IATC) 2024 Conference

April 9, the 4th International Advocacy Training Council (IATC) 2024 Conference was held in Hong Kong. Dr. Liu Xiaochun, President of Shenzhen Court of International Arbitration (SCIA) and Executive Chairman of South China International Arbitration Certer (HK) (SCIAHK), was invited to deliver a keynote speech. He took the “SCIA+SCIAHK” twin-city two-arbitration institutions innovation as an example to introduce the specific practices of foreign professionals participating in China’s international arbitration as decision-making members (council members), arbitrators, mediators, expert witnesses, legal counsels, and arbitral secretaries in six roles, sharing the opportunities of international arbitration in China.

CHEUNG Kui-nung GBM, the Honourable Chief Justice of the Court of Final Appeal of the Hong Kong SAR, Lam Ting-kwok SBS, SC, JP, the Secretary for Justice of the Hong Kong SAR, MA Tao-li GBM, the former Chief Justice of the Court of Final Appeal of the Hong Kong SAR, Anthony Neoh QC, SC, JP, Vice Chairman of the SCIA Council and Chairman of the Board of SCIAHK, Huen Wong BBS, JP, Council member of SCIA and Executive Chairman of the Board of SCIAHK, and others were invited to speak at this IATC conference.

Over 120 judges and advocates from common law jurisdictions such as Singapore, Malaysia, New Zealand, Australia, India, South Africa, Ireland, England, and Wales attended the conference.
