SCIA supported Hong Kong Legal Services Seminar held in Dubai

On May 22, 2024, the forum titled “Hong Kong - The Common Law Gateway to China and Beyond”,organised by the Department of Justice, the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Dubai of the Government of HKSA and Hong Kong Trade Development Council, co-organised by Dubai Chambers, supported by South China International Arbitration Center (Hong Kong),,was held in Dubai, which attracted over 300 attendants from legal, business and other sectors of the UAE.

Mr.Paul Lam,the Secretary for Justice of the Government of Hong Kong SAR, Mr.Zhang Yiming, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to the UAE, andMr. Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, President and CEO of the Dubai Chambers, delivered their speeches at the forum.Mr.Li Xiongfeng, Deputy Secretary General of the SCIAHK and Deputy Director oftheSCIA International Cooperation and DevelopmentDepartment, along withMs.Antonia Birt andMr.David Holloway, arbitrators of theSCIA andtheSCIAHK based in the Middle East, participated in the event.
