    The SCIA Delegation Participates in the 57th Session of the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL)

    On July 1, 2024, the Shenzhen Court of International Arbitration (SCIA), as an observer of the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) Working Group II (Dispute Resolution) and Working Group IV (Electronic Commerce), was invited to attend the 57th session at the United Nations Headquarters in New York. The conference reviewed the draft model clauses for the Specialized Express Dispute Resolution (SPEDR) and the progress report on the development of dispute resolution in the digital economy. Mr. Dong Lianhe, Vice President of the SCIA, led the delegation in participating in the conference deliberations and engaging in professional exchanges with the representatives from other institutions.


    During the session, SCIA delegation visited Ms. Anna Joubin-Bret, Secretary of UNCITRAL, and presented the most recent advancements in international arbitration development in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. Ms. Joubin-Bret expressed high concern and congratulations to the SCIA for its continuous high-quality development. She looked forward to further cooperation with the SCIA in various fields and welcomed the SCIA to participate more extensively in the work of UNCITRAL, contributing China’s experience and expertise to the development of international arbitration.
